MARIJA DREZGIĆ, assistant conductor


Marija Drezgic was born in Belgrade in 1977. She graduated from the FMA

in Belgrade- the department of General Musical Pedagogy (2000). In 2003, she entered post-graduate studies at the Department of Psychological Research, California State University (College of Behavioral and Social Sciences). She is preparing her master thesis “Perceptional Functions of Brain in Correlation to Psychic Changes”. She has a wide knowledge of psychology and a number of skills in using computer programmes. She participated in the following research projects of the California State University: “Stage-fright and emotions on stage”, “Perceptional functions of brain and classical music”, “Showing emotions- differences between cultures”, “Perceptional functions of brain correlated to psychic changes”.

Working experience:

1. The assistant of maestro Spasic, Choral Society “Mokranjac” in Belgrade (1998- 2000);
2. The assistant of maestro Spasic in Vocal Ensemble “Oktoih”, Belgrade (since 2000);
3. The conductor of the choir of Saint Archangel Gabriel church in Belgrade (2000- 2002);
4. Cultural Emotional Research Laboratory, research done with Dr David Matsumoto (since 2003);
5. Neuropsychological research Office, Dr Rosemarie Bowler;
6. A researcher in “Cultural Emotional Research Laboratory”, California State University, and a scientific associate in a private neuropsychological laboratory.
