1. Father Predrag Milanovic (1967, Gradacac), graduated from the Secondary theological school of Saint Sava and studied at Theological Faculty. He received the scholarship of the monastery of Hilandar. He also studied at Philosophical Faculty in Sarajevo. He became a deacon and a priest of Serbian Orthodox Church (1988) and until 2001 was a parish priest of Saint Trinity church in Belgrade. Now he is a parish priest of the Saint Sava Temple at Vracar and the chairman of the “Belgrade priests” choir. He cooperates with a number of choirs, and with “Oktoih” since it was founded. He wrote three books: “Christ and the Contemporary World”. “Purpose and Meaning of our Life and Work on Earth” and “Faith, Hope and Love”. He also published a CD with the sermons from his first book. He is an expert on liturgical singing and the Orthodox liturgy.

2. /+/prof. Andrija Galun /+/ (1945.-2004.,Belgrade), the organist of “Oktoih”. In Belgrade, he received his Master degree in composing, and he studied organ-playing in Zagreb, Venice and Sienna. Since 1968, he performed a rich repertoire on both domestic and international scenes. He made a great number of radio and TV recordings, and was also a winner of numerous awards. He was a Professor of organ-playing and counterpoint at Music Academies in Belgrade and Novi Sad, and the organizer of the first Festival of organ music in Belgrade (1966). He was an exceptional pedagogue and an expert, and he also helped many of his colleagues and ensembles. He tried to advance liturgy music and often played organ during the rites and ceremonies of the Catholic Church in Belgrade.

3. Miroslava Cicka Jevtić (1941., Belgrade), a singer and a promoter of “Oktoih”. She is a graduate engineer of architecture (1965, Belgrade). She is professionally engaged (since 1969) in the fields of urbanism, design and engineering. One of her many qualifications is that she is the deputy chairwoman of the Managing Board of the Urbanism Institute of Belgrade. She finished secondary music school- piano department, and is a long-time singer in many choirs and ensembles.


4. Božidar Boban Kozomara (1960.,Pirot), the author of the choir wardrobe of “Oktoih”, he studied at Royal Imperial College (marketing and management) in London and Electrotechnical Faculty in Belgrade. He is the owner and the director of “TDI Radio” and “TDI Fashion Factory” (Belgrade), as well as of some other corporations. He helped the functioning of several church choirs (Choral Society “Mokranjac”, First Belgrade Singers’ Society…), he designed costumes and scenery for film and theatre. Since its founding, he helped the functioning and the visual appearance of “Oktoih”.


5. Branislav Kosanić (1948., Ruma), baritone, a soloist of “Oktoih” since its foundation. He studied singing at a music school in Belgrade and at the Opera Studio of the National Theatre (Belgrade), in Professor Nikola Mitic’s class. He graduated from Law Faculty in Belgrade. He is working as a soloist at the National Theatre Opera (since 1989), and “Madlenianum” opera and theatre (since 1998), where he has had a number of noteworthy roles. He sang with choirs and orchestras, such as: “Oktoih”, “Belgrade Madrigalists” and “Saint George Royal Strings”… He performed at the opening of opera season (2002/2003) of the Detroit Opera (USA).

6. /+/ ZDENKO TARABIĆ /+/ (1928.-2008.), video cameraman and a retired clerk of the Military Institute in Belgrade. He was born on 12th July, 1928 in Daruvar (Croatia). His parents were Savo Tarabic and Katica Tarabic (maiden surname Dragojevic). Zdenko was a great friend of “Oktoih”, a passionate lover of films and media, and an interesting collector (different video recordings, wall clocks etc.) Cooperation with Zdenko dated back to the beginning of the 1990’s, and since 2000, it continued with “Oktoih”. His collection of VHS and DVD recordings is of a priceless significance to many ensembles, choirs, societies and organizations to which he belonged.
